Default replacing string/cables

How often should you replace the string/cables on a compound bow? The string and cables on my bow look brand new, they aren't even frayed, but I've had the bow for two years. I'm much more familiar with recurves/longbows so your help is greatly appreciated.

Default RE: replacing string/cables

From what I've seen most manufacturers recommend replacement somewhere in the 2000-3000 shot range. If it still looks that good I'd keep shooting it but I'd be checking it more frequently. You never know when some strands will start to break.
