climbers in the rain ?

Just started using a climber ( bullet backpacker ) this yr and wanted to know if the are safe to use in the rain. Light drizzle here and getting ready to go out around 1-dark. Thanks ...

I have never had a problem with my Cobra climbing in the rain. The only issue is you have to be carefulwith rubber bottomed boots if they are wet for any reason because they can slip on the platform.

I once climbed a tree to 30 feet where one side was covered in ice from freezing rain. I am 6'3" 270# and this was with a Ol Man. Just remember to strap on the safety belt.

My loggy climber has no problems on wet trees at all. The only problem that i have is that i use the hug the tree method and pull the stand up with my feet and then inch my way up the tree. If its really wet i bring a plastic bag to wear as a cover up to keep the wateroff of me.

I've go ta Bullet Backpacker. Last year I used it in the rain. It was fine. It locks in pretty darn good. Always remember to use your bungy strap to hold the back of your seat pad up. And never climb with out that safety harness. Once last year my cable came out of my Bullet Backpacker. My fault..I should of made sure it was in square. I do now. Luckily it was when I was first getting started. The cable was in a little side ways. I was in a hurry.:(
The stand is very secure and stable.

Same comments here. I have used my Summit Revolution and an API Bowhunter in the rain without any problems though they advise you not to use them on wet or icy trees.
