New Whisker Biscuit
Can anyone tell me if the new whisker biscuits mess up fletchings? I had one of the originals and it was pretty hard on fletchings. So, if you've tried the new one, I'd appreciate an opinion.
Thanks.
Thanks.

my old one wore on the fletchings but didn't affect accuracy. the new one is much more forgiving. been shooting for a month and a half and the new fletchings show no - little wear.

They will depending on what vane you use. Bohning vanes are about the best I have found for a cost to effectiveness standpoint. Feathers work also, but get "fuzzy" after a time. Blazer vanes are probably the ideal fletch for the WB.

I have the older version and have been shooting the same arrows with feathers for over a year with no wear at all. I am using the biscuit for aluminum arrows and I'm shooting smaller diameter carbons. I also fletch my own arrows and make sure they are glued well. I think feathers are the way to go with the wb.

The Wb will destroy dura vanes after a while. They get wavy. Bohnning vanes are excellent and I have had no problens with them. I shot my 1st bisquit for about three seasons. I wore out the bisquit itself before my bohnnings wore out.

I worked at Gander Mt. and cannot even tell you the amount of problems I encountered with them. Personally I would never buy or even try to sell a whisker biscuit regardless of the style. I hope I'm not offending you too much here, it's not my purpose, I have just seen a lot of problems with them.

I shot a bisquit for a while and it does chew up duravanes pretty good but I did not have a jig at the time and it kind of %issed me off and I switched to a drop away. Knowing what I know now about fletching and blazer vanes I probably would have kept the WB.
