Noisy zipper on blind
 

This season will be my first using a blind on days when the weather would warrant staying out of a tree. I popped up my Ameristep Doghouse (fresh out the box) in my backyard yesterday. And boy does it POP OPEN! Almostlaunched the dog into the field.

I noticed that the doorway zipper is pretty loud. Any suggetions on quieting it down? i.e. petroleum jelly, graphite spray... But then again the odor given off by these remedies may be worse that the original issue.

Any thoughts?

Well, it's a zipper. I have never heard on that was quiet. Except the really small ones that are on dress pants. If it big enough to hold a blind together then it's gonna make some noise when you use it.

Just go slow and hold it with your fingers to muffle some of the sound.

David, use bow wax on a noise zipper. It will be more quiet and will not damage plastic zippers.

sniper ..good one.. that or vaseline..providing its a one man pop up
