I use 3 blade 100 grain Muzzy's. They work great. I have never had a penetration problem and they fly very true.

I have been shooting Muzzy three blade 125's for years and have taken several deer at 40+ yards with every shot being a clean passthrough, with an awesome bloodtrail. The extra energy the 125 gives you over a 100 is worth the slight drop off in speed ! its all about down range energy not speed !

They are both great broadheads. Generally speaking the 4 blade will fly just a little better at longer distancesthan the 3 blade but will also have less penetration.
Either one is a great choice.

I like the way the Muzzy4 blade is designed. They are rock solid and fly as good as my field points!I used the practice blades and never had to adjust my sights!

the 4 blade is a stronger head, as wel;l, due to the locking blades. The 4 blade 125 is pretty nasty. It leaves a big hole.

The 3 blade will have better pentration and the 4 blade will fly just a little better in the wind. I shoot the 4 blades but you could not go wrong with either one.

While a 3 blade will penrtrate better than 4 blades, the 4 is no slouch either. The 4 will have a better bloodtrail as compared the 3. Both heads are great and will pass thru anything you shoot. For me the three blades are my choice.

For what its worth, I believe John Muz has said that most people at Muzzy shoot the 4 blades.

I shot a six pointer @ about 25 yds from a ground blind useing a 4 blade 100gr. Muzzy. Complete pass thru. The shot was good {double lung} and any broadhead would have done the job, but these heads shoot like field tips from my bow and give my great confidence in the shot.

I had 2 pass thru's last year using the Muzzy 3 blade. I shot a doe slightly quartering away, and it broke 2 ribs, and cut the windpipe in half. The deer went 40 yards. I shot my buck thru both lungs, and I saw him go down!! I absolutely love Muzzy's!! I don't think I will ever use another B/H.
