check this site out, get a hold of Carver, he's from your neck of the woods and can fill you in on the regs for NY... I'm thinking you may be mixed up on the equipment issue... Carver is from just outside Rochester...

i use gas tank repair kit. it is a putty that you can mold to the shelf. hardens in about 15 mins. so you can adjust it to be shooting center. when hard it makes a great rest. if you want i can post pics but right now i have to go wack some fish

I shoot 65 to 70 lbs. but basically only shoot daytime. I think 55 lbs is a good all-around weight. Getting arrows out of the bottom........HHHMMMMMM well at 65 lbs shooting in the cattails with a 4 barb head, sometimes it takes 2 guys pulling to get them out. Anywhere else its not bad at all. If I was shooting nighttime in cattails I would use a 2 barb head and lower my weight alot. I'll have a new strategy for the cattails during the day this year!

Good Luck!

not sure what you're talking about... I have an active link to the site...

as for the epoxy rests, I've always used plumbers putty to do mine... this is a 2 part epoxy, that'll allow about 10 minutes of fooling around to adjust your center shot... the way it looks, we're both getting about the same results... I went back and readjusted this one after it had set up but it still works fine...

RE: bows

when you build these epoxy rests, you want to leave a high point in the center of the rest to allow only minimal contact with the arrow... I use a rat tail file to work this up after the epoxy dries, that's why I had to add to this rest because I screwed up the first time around...
