Minnesota take first steps!

Yesterday, Feb 23, the MN senate took its first steps to legalizing night bowfishing in MN. The bill passed in the senate and should have an easy time going through the house. There is a major meeting with the DNR on Mar 22 to discuss the hopefull changes to the sport!

Thats great. Im from minnesota and would love to try bowfishing at night. If the bill passes the house when could the law take effect? Would it be in time for this years season or would we have to wait tell next year?

I think it would be next year, if everything continues successfully.

Join the new MN bowfishing club, first meeting Mar 26 down in Lakeville.

Good Luck!

The next big event happening with the MN night bowfishing is a meeting March 22 with the DRN and various groups.....(Minnesota State Archery Assco, The new club(10,000 Lakes Bowfishing Assoc, and various outdoor groups and lobbist.

Several things have to be taken care of and the House has to vote on it....Senate may have to vote again if it changed, and the Gov to sign. From what I hear theres plenty of support in the House and Senate and we're pretty confident the Gov would sign it!

This probably means night bowfishing in '06!

Hope you can also support the new MN Club.......10,000 Lakes Bowfishing Association!

Good Luck!
