Would a 17ft bass tracker mod v boat work o.k. for bowfishing?
|
RE: boat
I think that should be fine. I have a friend who bowfishes from an aluminum deep-V.
The problem with a boat is that you're never quite satisfied. I started with a canoe, then a 12 ft jon. Now I've got a 16ft extra wide jon boat but those extra deep jons are looking better and better... and oooooh, look an 18' foot jon boat... [8D] Start with your bass boat, put a removable platform on it and use is as long as you can. |
RE: boat
It isn't a question of whether it will work. Just about anything that floats will work. It is a question of whether you mind it getting covered in blood:D[8D]
You should see our pontoon boat rig. Talk about redneck[:-], but it works;) |
RE: boat
if it floats and it makes you happy then good luck

RE: boat
That boat will work just fine! Its like any sport....the more youget involved, the more or better equipment you want.
Good Luck! |
RE: boat
AmanitaV just wondering if you or anyone have some ideas on making a removable platform for such a boat? Mine is the 18ft Lund Alaskan with a 40hp tiller. I have four halogen lights powered by a small 1800watt Coleman generator. Good for two lights on at a time. I'm concerned about weight most of all. I have a electric trolling motor on the front. Any ideas how to approach this project?
