Draw length

Should I be concerned in using a bow that has too short of a draw length(~2" shorter thancompared to regular hunting)? Do you take time to anchor and aim or is just more a point and shoot and I shouldnt worry about the bowfishing bow having shorter draw? Thanks!

Good question, I was wondering the same thing. Looking at youth bows for the low weight but most come with shorter draws as well. Any help would be appreciated!

It possible to shoot a bow accurately that is the wrong draw length but it just takes some figuring/trial & error. My first bow was 3" longer than my actual draw length & I got pretty accurate after a little practice. But if at all possible, you should get the proper draw length; shooting a different draw length can cause irregular habits in you shooting & can require you to "re-teach" yourself to shoot with proper form when hunting season comes.
