SHORT NOSE GAR: 5/8/2010 David Hughes, McKinney, TX, slingshot shooting in Lake Lavon, TX David has now put up His Bow and shooting with His slingshot after taking a Short nose Gar 9lbs 6oz. Breaking the pervious record short nose gar by 5 pounds. Slingshots are becoming KING FISHERS!

I'm a little afraid to go after gator gar until I am sure I have the power in the slingshot. Currently, I am setting up the slotted bottle reel on my crossbow. I don't want to lose another monster like last year with the recurve. Many of the shots at Texoma are over 4' deep. I don't think my slingshot can penetrate. Chief AJ is comming down in a couple weeks and we are going out together. I hope to learn some slingshot "tricks of the trade"

4' foot is pretty deep. I'd have to crank my oneida up for that situation.
