Crossbow???

A friend wanted me to ask if it is legal to use a crossbow for bowfishing in Illinois.
I personally have never bow fished and I've definitely not heard of anyone using a crossbow.....but he has a young daughter that would like to try it.

Fire,
Yes, you can bowfish with a crossbow in IL.
If you hunt around on the link that Blackice put up you'll see AMS also sells bowfishing crossbow bolts.

How small is his daughter? A 20 lbcompoundbow can be used for carp. (I've had my bow turned down as low as 28 pounds for carp in shallow water)
