Buffs in the corn fields

RE: Buffs in the corn fields
Buffs are just about as good as it gets for eating. Most people just eat the meat off the ribs, but, expecially the larger ones, there's a lot of good boneless meat off the rest of the filet as well. I'd take a mess of 15# + buffs any day over any other fish.

Buffs are good but you have to score em just right to get the bones out. Silvers are also very good. They are all snow white meat and tastes very similar to crappie. There is a link under the illinois bowfisher forum on how to clean em. I suggest you give em a try if you like good white fish meat.
