In a few years, when they realize what a terrible idea this is, you folks in Texas and Cali will have a field day/night at these places! :D

I wish they were kidding.

I don't think they should even be returned to thewater once caught, but if it's legal, then it's legal, butmandating that a body of water be catch and release only sounds like a death sentence for the other fish which appeal to more people, and to the other ecology in the lake.

We can hope that education and abig pictureconservation approach prevails over time.Teach peopleabout the detrimental role carp play in the degradation of the fisheries, and one day they may understand and make more informed decisions.

I haven't read our laws governing them in a while but at one time it was illegal to take a grassie and NOT kill it in Texas. Of course if it weren't for the state screwing up they wouldn't be here in the first place. The ystarted out in Lake Conroe and LBJ and when we contacted TP&WD and told them we were killing them in ClearCreek they said we were mistaken and would not even send a warden out to go out with us so we could prove it. So it would not surprise me what they do. I don't know much about commons and their impact but I do know that grassies ruint lake conroe. That is what it will take here in Texas, after they ruin a lake then maybe they will snap.

Oh I almost forgot, it sounds like something CAG would have their hands in.
