Any action on the Kaskaskia river, New Athens area
 

Has anybody been bowfishing around The New Athens area on the Kaskaskia river? I'm looking to shoot some bigheads, silver carp or anything.

Bob from Southern Illinois Outdoors fishes that area all the time. (although, I think he's looking for a bowstring right now) [:-] He posts as "DumBass" on here.

I have and there are plenty of fish to shoot at in the many old oxbows and sloughs.

I think the string blew outta my truck bed... another is on order, and I'm now setting up an old compound to at least use as a spare or for other guys who aren't set up....

It's dads day, and dad wants to bowfish:D
