Default How deep?

I'm going to try some bow fishing for the first time next weekend. Just wondering how deep can the fish be and still get hit? I'm shoting a 50lb compound and my kid is shooting a 30lb compound with standard fiberglass fish arrows.

Just try it and see. But the farther down they are, they get much, much harder to hit. Most fish you take will be with a couple feet of the surface. Just remember to aim low.
