just wondering how long this thing will last, i havent been able to get back to the river much cause of work. how long do we have? month or two?

Bighead taken by Logan Rueheup, In the Mississippi river, 18#, 30 inches long..hes 12 years old..

I'll end it on Nov. 1st. Most of us will be chasing land based critters after that.

Nice entries so far! That gator gar looks like it just ate something raccoon sized.

ok thanks, he had been in the boat for the better part of the late afternoon and he was pretty nasty inside.

I shot this gator gar on a lake that is flooded by the trinity river when it gets high near palistine tx. 8 foot 3 1/4 inches long 41 inch girth and estimated by calculating those numbers should be close to 245 or 250 lbs.
