Bowfishing through the ice.

Up here in MN we have a season (spearing) on Northern Pike in the winter. I was just wondering if any of you all ever tried shooting in a fish house down into 10 ft of water?

It would be just like spearing but the amount of motion would probably spook a weary pike. I thought up the same thing while I was sitting in my darkhouse.

Just to clarify, it's not legal to shoot pike with an arrow from a darkhouse, only rough fish.

Since when do you have to shoot through 10 ft of water? Who cares if its illegal we're not actually doing it. You would use a lure and attract a northern up to the surface and shoot it just like spearing. One guy jigs the decoy and the other throws the spear.

I did not realize it was illeagle, beeing that you can spear them. Just checked with the local CO and yes it is against the law.
