AMS Safety Slides

What is the best bowfishing rest out there to use with AMS safety slides...also, are AMS safety slides ok to use on faster model compounds(250 fps or higher)?

The slides can be used with any rest at all.
It's really not related in any way that I'm aware of.

The slides keep the line out in front of the bow during the entire draw and release sequence, so they really don't interact. As for your choice of rest, I've seen everything work from the new Fishhook, to F+D's dream rest, to the bowfishing buscuit. As long as it's heavy enough to support the 1,200 grain arrows and is adjusted properly for good arrow flight, it should work fine. I recommend using the slides or cabled arrows for all bowfishing setups, regardless of whatever other preferences you have.

The slides are strong enough to hold up. Sometimes, after a lot of shooting you may get the screw on the bumper to back out a bit, but that's about it. I have cracked 2 of the slides themselves, but that was from pulling too hard on the line trying to free an arrow from it's new home in a log. You won't really need to use a bow set at anything above 50# for fish.

There is no way you will shoot a fish arrow over 250fps. They say not to shoot them above 145fps. With a 1200+gr fish arrow you will be alot slower than a hunting arrow. I use an epoxy rest myself but like Bulzeye said the F&D rest is a very good rest. He did not mention the AMS Wave rest. I have seen a few of them and they were very nice looking rests as well.
