RE: Help! Newbie stuck int the figurative mud.
there's a lot of other reels out there, even some companies that make the shoot through kind (line drag effects the arrow a lot less with these). you can find most of the for under $15
also, check the way the line spools off when you shoot by putting a couple arrows into the dirt in your lawn. i had a problem with the bevel of the spool being to sharp. i added some electrical tape to smooth out the spool and make the angle a little less nasty, havn't had a problem since. also, you can buy fish arrow shafts on ebay for about $1 a piece (they usually sell them by the dozen though), never hurts to keep a few extra around. |
RE: Help! Newbie stuck int the figurative mud.
Hey thanks a lot, monday is lookin like a trip to cabelas. do yall think 130# test is enough? also, i was on their website, and saw they have a pse recurve bow for 110 bucks. think that'd be better than using my deer bow with the peep sights and all that? i'm borrowing the digital camera later today, so ill have pics posted late tonoght hopefully.

I use 120-lb or 130 lb. line in my spincast and it's plenty. And I think the PSE is a good deal.
