One place to try also is Rend lake in Franklin& Jefferson counties.

i still do but i leave there and thats the closest place for me to shoot #,s in the past 3 week we have taken 7 gar that was larger then 9#,s but nothing like hers they are in there and they are bigger but being at the right place at the right time is key and then even if u are there at the right time then u gotta ready as johnny is aware they come upand go down very quick and its tough at times


but they do get big and u can shoot in that slough thats the story they all are staying with now (although the slough is still part of a recreation area) o well they make up laws as they go but the local bait shop is mad to

Now KBI-Prez you know that I wrote to the mayor and he called the head guy at Corps of engineers and they are on the same page. No projectiles in that part of the river. their loss

If any one is interested the head honcho at Carlyle corp of engineers is a - Bob Wilkins at 618-929-5040. Give him a polite call and let him know how we feel. No harm no foul
