Missouri Bowfishing

I recently went bow fishing for the first time in oklahoma and made a platform for my boat to go bowfishing at night.I live in Springfield Missouri and i was wondering which lake in southern missouri or northern arkansas is the best for numbers of fish. I bought a 3000 Honda Eu which is extremely quiet and set up lights on my boat. Any input would be great... I know a few of the members from this website travel to branson for their bowbash and that is only about 45 minutes from springfield so thankyou for any input

Nice looking rig. That should take you far.
All it takes is getting your first fish, and you're building a boat platform.
Now there is the right attitude!

You'll want the halogen flood lights to go with all that to really light up that water.

Since you're down South, you'll want to check outthe Illinois Bowfishersupcoming shoots.

Any lake down there that allows bowfishing is good. Table Rock, Pomme de Terre, Truman, even Springfield Lake looks good.

Bowhunt, I will throw something out there and you can take it or leave it, but I use the same generator as you have and instead of usingfive 500 watt bulbs, you can use GE Ultra 350 watts, have nearly the same amount of light per bulband be able to use 6-8 lights now without straining your generator any more. The difference and advantage7 GE Ultra 350'svs. yourfive 500 watt bulbs will be quite significant.

Truman is my top choice. If you don't want to go that far then table rock or stockton is good. Grand Lake on the oklahoma side would be good. Not sure if Beaver is good or not. But they have monster stripers! :)

Head over to Texas, Toledo Bin or Texoma. Shoot ya one of them 10 foot gator gar. I got to get do that one of these days!:)

Ya the Ultra bulbs are a direct swap, and good advice if you can find them.

There are a lot of bowfishers in the Springfield area. The folks at Batson's are serious about it. Any of our lakes are good, Truman, LOZ, Table Rock, Bull Shoals, Pomme...

10 foot gar huh? I got to get me one of those someday too.
