They're already spawning!

They're already spawning!
My buddy and I shot 12 commons total in the Desplaines Conservation Area today in the backwater on the right just before the launch. I'm not going to say how many we missed learning how to shoot again! Most were females full of eggs. But there was always a couple of smaller males following behind. Many were up splashing also. If you're looking for some shore bowfishing action, now is the time and this was the place!

Nice job!
Do you have any idea what the water temp is? I was out last night and the water was 53 degrees on Evergreen Lake. The carp were rolling and jumping out in the middle of the lake, but very few were up in the shallows.
I only shot two. [:-] (but I was hitting 50%)

I don't have a clue on water temp. I was just telling my buddy earlier in the week we need to start taking water temps. I know if felt warmer than the I&M canal. We were guessing just over 60.
