:Dyes its time to go i'm leavin out tomorrow mornin to scout for turkeys and when the water gets warmer puttin the boat in and goin stickin will post when i get home maybe if i come :D

ty !!! i will lil ones big one and even medium ones .i will be afer longnose gar mostly .if the carp are there to they going to get stuck this will be my only bowfishin trip till after turkey season which ends may 1 or i tag out first but i still have my kids tags i have to take them to .i'm goin to stick a big gar just for christine lol

you ever seen longnose gar that were only like a foot long and try to shoot them?? man are those hard to hit. ive seen a ton of em and have yet to hit em. im always jus a little to the left or a little to the right[>:].

i have only stuck a few that small lil pain in the butts .most of them where i shoot are big nobody hardly bowfishes or fishes for them there so they grow very big . i have to find the video of the 3 i got while snaggin them .( i didnt bowfish at the time ) the biggest went over 30 lbs the smallest went over 10 lbs .my biggest went about 35 lbs i didnt weigh it like a dummy .

I know what you mean about those gar being skinny and tough to hit.
I've only gotten a shot at one so far, and I got it, but it took 2 shots.
He was 3 feet long, but still not very thick.

I almost lost him too since I had one of those Sting-a-ree points with the really long folding barbs, and it was barely in far enough to hold him. He pulled off just as I was getting him over the edge of the boat, and I had to drop my bow so I could stuff his business end into the nose of the canoe to keep him from flipping out.
