Need to new knife!
Okay....I lost my hunting knife. It was nothing to special. I had a Buck Omni Hunter 10pt Folding knife. I had it in a camo version and lost it the other night hunting. I went back out to try and find it and nothing. Not the first time that I have had trouble finding this knife on the ground lol. I do not plan on buying another camo knife.
I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?? Thinking about just going with another Buck Omni Hunter Fixed blade....any other knives I should look at? |
I like the Gerber Gator. I have 2 of them, and many more of various configurations. I find it handy and compact. The bigger knives I have I found to be too big and awkward.

Lost knives; found knives
Got taught how to shapen a knife, the first one, on a stone.
It was amazing how much money I saved over the years, by not buying new and expensive knives, by sharpening the old ones. And shrapening the found ones. And that also involved the household knives for the Thanksgiving turkey and the Christmas ham. A pre-sliced ham!!!!!! My knives would have been insulted. Sharpening knives became a side hobby. |
Shorty KaBar. Tried and true. And not easy to break.

Idk what mine is it is from the nwtf museum and it switches the blades it has a saw filet skinning and some kind of hatchet looking blade with a gut hook. Ani I also use a Ferber gator or one of my many others. One of my favorites was 15$ from tractor supply looks near identical to my grandpas browning one and cuts almost as well

buck 110 is what I carry for hunting, sharp, and it has brass ends that show up pretty well if left or dropped in the woods.

How much are you looking to spend, what applications will you use it for, and do you care about the type of steel a whole lot? BB
