Cold Steel Pendleton Mini Hunter
 

I just purchased this knife because I wanted a small fixed blade to replace the oversized folder I had been using. Does anybody have any experience field dressing with the mini hunter? It came from the factory sharp enough to shave with. I fear that I may miss the gut hook on my old knife but I have dressed deer in the past without one.

That's a great knife, I saw an article on it in Field and Stream but didn't get one. You could also just bring your old knife with the gut hock with you so that way you have a back up if you're end up not being comfortable with the mini
