Hardin Steel! but I admit I am biased. I have always made sure I would carry it myself before I send it out the door. www.hardinsteel.com

The cheap old ones I have

I have no need or appreciation for fancy knives. If it was a working knife, that sharpened with a tri-hone arkansas stone, it was always good enough for me.

My knives are so old, I know I paid less than $25 for each one, and a lot less for some. In fact, I had to repair for the umpthteen time, the rubber handle to a pocket knife, and glue it back to the metal.

Found that one years ago, and didn't cost me a dime. Just a little instant glue over time.

Never got into any knife collecting. Only need.

I cary a Case and use a couple of German Edge Marks for skinning. the German knives by far carry a better edge.

Buck for me. I can always put a razor edge on them. I bought a Schrade a few years ago & it's a real bugger to try & get it sharp.

I carry a Henckel 4 blade stockman pocket knife every day. They are hard to get in the US, and pretty pricey, but I saw one about 15 years ago at a gun show with a buffalo horn handle and had to have one. Took me a awhile to track one down on the internet when I finally decided to get one, ended up with two.

Other than that I still use my 33 year old Buck 110 anytime I'm outdoors. I bought another buck, a larger sheath knife, about the same time and since then have never bought another Buck although I own maybe 30 knives now. I live only about 3 miles from their factory here in Idaho but have never been there to their store.

Those two are the only knives I carry regularly, except my multi-tool I use at work.

Schrade , Made in the US.
Lost mine in 2007 and found it in 2009 , no differnce no rust, just the bronce around the handle with a patina as expected, still sharp.
The Ones made in Japan now , I don't know much about them, but if you find one made in the USA buy it.

I'd have to say Kershaw is mine. Warranty is amazing and customer service is top notch. Not to mention the knives are the best I've owned.
