Silver Stags ???

Does anyone have any experience with the Silver Stag knives? They are semi-custom knives, made in the USA, at a great price.
Seems like a bargain? Lets hear your reviews!

I just re-handled a Silver Stag for one of my good customers.I'm not sure why you consider them semi-custom.
My thoughts upon recieving it, was that they were cheaply made, very poor fit and finish, the dullest edge I have ever seen a any knife. It actually took me longer to grind a decent edge than to disassemble the knife. So IMO they are a bargin for a reason.Dave

It's been a good while now, any new reviews of Silver Stag knives? The ones I've handled seemed to be good knives.

I agree; not that I'm jealous but I sure would not cosider them no where a custom or handmade knife.

Their prices are not bad I certainly can't sell a knife that cheap, of course I don't have automation that spits out hundreds of knives a day; NO WAY they are better than a buck or a gerber, not even in the same league.

BTW nice knives D.C. you're a step up from what I do, I keep them at the where the average working man can affored and still wants a handmade knife but don't what to buy a off the shelf knive. You're prices are certainly in line for the quality and material you're using.. I'm jealous I want that stitcher.:) you're shop reminds me a lot of mine.

I never did get one. A friend of mine now has two Silver Stags. No they are not hand made custom knives but they are nice knives at a decent price!
