Default Speaking of field dressing

I got this tip last year from somewhere but can't remember where. Last year I started carrying a utility knife in my pack along with my folding belt knife for dressing out my deer. Why the utility knife you ask? Because I have a carpet blade in it and instead of buying a knife with a gut hook, this works just as good if not better and is replaceable. Just a small incision in the belly and this hook will open your game up like pulling on a zipper. You can pick these blades up at almost any hardware store.

I like that idea and will have add that on my moose hunt!! Moose hide dulls a good knife rather quickly..
