ORIGINAL: Joe D. muzzle loader rem.model 700ml 50 cal. check rest stock s.s.barrel bolt action 209 primer burris 1.5 x-20mm scope see threw mounts in excellent condition fired maybe 10 times to sight in $400.00 firm. I have read posts telling that these are very good shooting rifles. I guess if you want a Remington Rifle that bad, then purchase it. With $400.00 I would look into some other rifles I believe.... |
RE: Is this a good deal??
It's pricey for me, given I'd toss the scope.

I am not fond of such a weak scope.
I am not fond of a ML that exhibits alot of powder/ignition blowback either. For the same money, you can purchase a T/C Omega with no blowback... no bottom-burning of your scope. I am also not fond of a ML that requires a special tool or machine vise to remove the action for cleaning. However, that particular rifle does shoot sabots extremely well. A guy next to me at the range jokingly shared a 100 yard target with me & his target groups were a tad better than my Omega. Neither one of us had a measurer for tightest group & not awarded a 1st Place Ribbon... lol. However, he was using a sand bag barrel rest.... I was using my elbow-only on the range table like I always do. |
RE: Is this a good deal??
Hi,
I was at Mesquite,Texas a small city just outside Dallas Texas. I had taken my wife over to see her sister in Dec. I had filled my tags by then,so the week up their was ok . I've got a great sister-in law,for the pass 25 years. I left the wife with her sister, and I went looking around the small town. Stoped by a small Pawn Shop and to my surprise there was a Rem.50 muzzleloader on the rack. I think they wanted $200.00 for just the rifle, that was in top notch shape. Looked at the rifle real hard, but didn't buy it. Hadn't checked up on the Rem.'s Muzzleloaders. Just my two cent's for what a used Rem.muzzleloader is going for down here in Texas. |
