Triple Se7en,
I shoot a 250 grain SST with 100 grains pyrodex pellets and a winchester primer. I love it!! |
RE: Are the Omega's that darn good?
They are a sweet gun. I have one they are super accurate out to 150 yds with 100 grains of pyrodex.
Also, pittsburgher..... In allegheny county with the rifle restrictions, you can LEGALLY hunt with the t/c omega!!!! |
RE: Are the Omega's that darn good?
And fellas if they are not that good, and I paid that much for it, I would sure get on here and say its the best thing since white bread to make my ego feel I got what I paid for.

RE: Are the Omega's that darn good?
I prefer shooting my 58-cal T/C Renegade over my Omega at 125 yards or less. The target hole size differences between a 58 caliber conical and 45 caliber sabot/bullet is the main reason. The only time I use the Omega anymore is for reaching shots when I'm sitting on a field edge or on a hilltop/ridge with 200 yards of viewing.

RE: Are the Omega's that darn good?
While my experiences with shooting black powder is limited to one shot with an old hawken, one trip to the range with a friends T/C Black Diamond, and now several trips to the range with my new laminated thumbhole omega I can say that it's an absolute pleasure to shoot. It shoots good groups right out of the box and cleans real easy. I've been shooting 250gr sst with 2 777 pellets. I can't wait to try it out on spring bear in a couple of weeks.
