Harvester Sabertooths?
Hello! I am new to the forum but have been visiting here and several others for a few months. I have already learned alot good things on this site. I shoot a T/C ENCORE 209/50 and would like to know if anyone has tried the sabertooths on any game, what loads, and what kind of results they have had. I would also like to know some more info on the NO EXCUSE CONICALS. I am planning a elk hunt in colorado this september and am trying to get my equipment in order.

RE: Harvester Sabertooths?
No Excuses Conicals come in 460 & 495 grain. Both I would think would work fine on an elk. You do not have to push them all that hard to get some outstanding down range energy.
Triple Se7en are a .503 diameter so they are a slip fit. Easy to load. They also come pre-lubed. All you need do is push them under the muzzle and you can seat them with just the ramrod.... When I shoot them I only use 80-85 grains of Triple Se7en or Goex 3f. I get outstanding accuracy out of them in my T/C Black Diamond XR. I would suggest get a box of them and try them out. Base your own conclusion on your shooting. |
RE: Harvester Sabertooths?
I've great results with the No Excuses out of my Knight ................ at least accuracy-wise.......haven't had the chance to hunt with them yet.
I just got a package of the 300 & 350gr Sabertooths (Saberteeth?) this week and will have to try them out soon. Maybe I'll have some accuracy & Chrony data on them within the next few weeks. |
RE: Harvester Sabertooths?
I bought some also but have not had time to shoot them yet. Cheaper than Powerbelts and look like they might be just as good or maybe better? Casting quality is not as smooth as Powerbelts but that might not matter. I am starting to think solid bullets are just as good as all the fancy hollowpoint stuff at muzzleloader speed as long as they are not too hard.

RE: Harvester Sabertooths?
Thanks for the replies. I have started shooting the 300 & 350 grain sabetooth and triple 777 ffg and fffg. I will shoot some more this weekend and post report on them.
