RE: 385 gr. grat plains bullets ?
ORIGINAL: newman1 ROUNDBALL,WHY WOULD THAT MEASUREMENT TECNIQUE BE MISLEADING IN THE CURRENT WORLD OF SHOOTERS AND TYPICAL MEASUREING TECHNIQUES?????????????? ARE YOU NOT MEASUREING POINT OF IMPACT????????IS NOT THE CENTER OF THE BULLET THE POINT OF IMPACT??????? MAYBE YOUR BULLETS ARE SHOOTING A BIT ASKEW;) Newmi, your "ALL CAPS" make it sound like you're shouting...:D Maybe I'm missing something...let me ask it this way...if you shot a 5 shot group into the same single perfect .50cal size hole, what would you say it's group size would be? |
RE: 385 gr. grat plains bullets ?
Ok guys, I didn't mean to start an argument here. hehe. My 1/4 inch group is 5 shots with no more than 1/4 inch of paper between them. Edge of hole to edge of hole. Maybe I was just lucky, but thats how I measured the group. I am going to try it at 100 yards and see what I get. By the way Cayugad the bottoms are belled, not flat, and I was not using anything between the bullet, and the powder. :)

RE: 385 gr. grat plains bullets ?
Well roundball it would appear that your elevator does not go to the top floor;)I f i were to shoot five shots into the same single perfect .50 cal. size hole i would call that perfect!!!!!!!!! By your definition of measuring you would call that a half inch group!!!!!!!! Would you care to elaborate further on the correct way to measure a shot group????
