Winchester Apex?
 

I found a winchester Apex for $200 on sale. An Omega would be nice but I'm going inexpensive with this gun. Any opinions on the Apex? Other recommendations? I want it to have the same action as the TC omega. I also want a long barrel. Should I just get a CVA since they are made at the same plant? $200 just seems to be a good price.

The Winchester is going to be a bit "dressed up" and of slightly higher trim than the CVA kodiak.

$200 sounds like a pretty good buy.

Don't buy the Apex and be sorry save a few more $ and get a quality ML like the Omega;)

If this is your first or more recent ML. Get your hands on as many as you can to see how they feel and balance. Also get ahold of some sidelocks as well. You would be amazed as to just how steady a heavier sidelock can feel.

Then after you figure out what feels good, then start shopping for deals.

Friend of mine rushed out and bought a very expensive rifle, but now really does not care for the way it handles. He likes it, but is wishing that he would have handled a few others first.
