RE: 45/vs 50 caliber inlines
Bigcountry I have a friend who works for a well known crime-lab
in Va. He is coming in this weekend and is bringing a little something with him. He says we can connect it to my 45cal and
it will tell us the pressure down to 1000th grade. As he states we can fire through the infra-red field and tell velocity at muzzle
50yds. and 100yds. If this works well as he says I'll post the
results later. I will have to wait untill he gets back to Va. & dumps
the results from his lap-top to the big gun computer. Im curious to
see results.

I'm from Ky too, but just a plain 'ol factory worker.hehe But, I do shoot the Encore in .45 and have taken a few deer with it and have not had one go over 20yds before piling up. Like somebody said, shot-placement is everything when using a smaller caliber. No, I can't take it out west for elk, but, my dad has the 209X50 and I'll just have to borrow his barrel if I ever get that opportunity.
