MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAYBE

I was just in my basement and was cleaning my muzzy and dropped it on the concrete floor[:@][:@][:@][:@]There are two dents in my barrel,One about four inches below the muzzle and one at the muzzle. It does not appear to be in the crown itself but am not sure what to do.What do you guys think i should do?Should i shoot it and hope for the best or what?

Shoot it. If you can look down the bore and it looks staight, let it fly. You would almost have to run over a ML barrel to bend it.

Should be fine other than cosmetic and your pride.

I can almost hear what you were saying when it fell, and it was loud and offensive! (I would have done the same thing though.)

That stinks. If it makes you feel better, last week I was taking my 870 barrel to have it tapped for turkey sights and slipped out of my hand and went clanging down 12 steps.

Owww! Reminds me as to why I have never purchased a nice over & under shotgun. I would be afraid to take it afield!

A few dings gives it character

I have a .50 GPR I built from a kit back in the late 80's. It has more dings, dents, and scratches on it then a Yugo running in the local Bomber race at the West Liberty dirt track. Just last year I was at a shoot and one feller thought it was an original Hawkins. Guns are like kleenex, they're meant to be used.

[:o] BC, I feel your pain...

Last year I was cleaning my A-5 that has a poly-choke and like an idiot, forgot to replace the barrel retention cap back on the mag tube. Stood up from the bench and started towards the gun safe and "viola", the barrel slid right off the mag tub into the concrete floor and fractured the poly-choke compensator.
I think my choice selection of words could be heard for at least a half a mile away.[:@]
:D

I also like the time I successfully crawled across a felled tree, over a small creek while carrying/hunting with my T/C Hawken. Made it all the way across, then set my rifle against the tree while taking a break. The rifle promptly slid off the tree, slid down the bank, through the ice and into the creek at a depth of about 3 feet and further lodging itself into the muck.
Temperature was a balmy 28 degrees. I stripped naked to go in an get my rifle so I would have something dry to put on afterwards.
2-mile walk back to camp with muddy clothes, freezing and a trashed rifle.
Dumping your rifle into the muck really re-defines detailed cleaning!
Worst part was the ribbing I took from all my buddies at camp!
