CVA inline
I was at the gun shop today and found this CVA inline .50 for only $95 used. I dont really need an expensive ml because I only have a 4 day season. It seemed to be in decient shape. Would this be a good buy?

RE: CVA inline
That would depend on the model of the rifle. Some of them were selling new for as little as $89.00. If this was an Optima on the other hand that would be a very good deal....

RE: CVA inline
Bass-Pro had the CVA magbolt 150 kit (that is with all excessories) except powder for $199.98.
Rifles alone ; some for $98.00 Cabelas also has some for less than $100.00 , so be careful.check to see whick on and check the catologs first.good luck with the purchase and the season. |

As with everyone else, check out the name, Take it from experiance, don't buy any companies bottom of the line product, you are playing with fire on that. I usually buy mid line or their top line.
The only in-line I own now is a Traditions Lightning 45 caliber, the rest are cap lock. |

CVA Optima :D

RE: CVA inline
Used and under $100 at a gun shop normally means look it over real careful as they want to get rid of it as quickly as possible.
I'd have the gunshop supply a borescope so you can see things in greater detail. Also look at the muzzle and the breech plug area for wear and/or neglect. If you see signs of rust and neglect, I would pass on this weapon unless you were looking for a parts gun. If you are looking for something inexpensive, for an extra $50 you can usually find a new ML from Traditions, CVA and so on that will also get you into a lifetime warranty and some support. |
