TC Omega ignition
I think the TC Omega comes with a ignition system that uses 209 primers. Does it have a nipple? and can that nipple be swapped out for one that will take a musket cap or a #11 cap? I restricted to one of those two sources for ignition here in Idaho.

The bolt-action T/C Black Diamond 22" & XR 26" come with all 3 ignitions. Here's a picture of the rifle... scroll down beyond the Omegas. There are better prices on other websites.

RE: TC Omega ignition
The Omega does not offer a nipple for percussion caps. Due to the design of the falling block with a firing pin in the block it would be difficult to make it work with a percussion cap as the firing pin would not contact enough of the surface of a cap to detonate it. A machinist could make it work but the expense would be high. I could come up with a working system which would require rework of the firing pin to a much larger one and reworking the breechplug to take a standard nipple. Not very practical. Personally I would probably stay with one of the sidelocks but some of the bolt inlines are OK and have multiple nipple availability.

RE: TC Omega ignition
I have a Black Diamond XR and it is a great shooting rifle. Not as easy to clean as some rifles, but then I never got into this sport to wear a white shirt. Really, the Black Diamond is well made, balanced, excellent trigger, and the warranty of Thompson Center is second to none....
