Fritz, I know what you mean...once you drive a TC maxi through the rifling, the darn things almost slide down under the weight of the ramrod they're so loose...always worrying / checking that it's seated...the good news is that I rarely hunt maxi-hunters so it's not a real big issue for me.

If you trey the over-conical wad, post the accuracy results...I'd wonder if it would upset the bullet as it peeled off the face...one alternative might be a .030" over shot card which would be much lighter and flip away easier...dunno
