I had some pitting in my encore so i posted here and some one said try napping the bar.so i did dont know if i did it right or not but went from 1/2 groups to 2inch .also one peddlel of the sabbot always breaks off,i am going to get a new bar,does any body think i could get more accur.from conicals,i would hate to just chuck the barr,and also there are times i like to hunt without a scope, thanks any help app.

Actually, shooting two boxes of conicals (20X2) would be good medicine to get that pitting burr smoothed out. Buy some full-bore Maxiballs or Buffalo Ballets. Try your sabots afterwards & maybe your petal breaks will cease & your accuracy will improve. Heck, I'd even leave some JB Bore Paste in the bore with both of those boxes. I think they call that fire-lapping. With lube already on the Maxiballs to mix-in with JBs, it should smooth it out. Let us know how it all works out.
