Optima Feedback

I just received a new Optima .50cal ML and would like to hear any comments, good or bad, about this rifle. Haven't had a chance to get it zeroed in yet, so any feedback is good. By the way, not new to ML'ing, just wanted a break action and got one hell of a deal on it. Thanks.

I got one last year and really like it, but I would change two things. First, I would like to have a different hammer; the one they use only allows for a scope with see-thru mounts if you want to cock it with gloves on. Second, the trigger on mine is a not as smooth as I would like for it to be. When I pull back on it I can hear the spring squeaking. Overall, I am happy with the feel and performance. It really shoots well with powerbelt bullets.

Your right about the hammer. I plan on 245g Powerbelts.

100 grains with a 348 gr. Powerbelt.
90 grains with a T/C 300 gr. Shockwave
