New?... I'll be that set your wallet back! T/C Hawkens are around $450 here. I'll bet in Canda they're closer to $750.... Ouch! That's a mighty fine sidelock. Need any help with loads... feel free to ask right here. Lots of good folks tuning in every day. |
RE: TC Hawkens?
No I bought it used from a friend for $350 and it came with all the toys. tonight is the 1st time I saw it. It as only had 2 dozen shots fired and is in mint shape. I thought it was a 54 but found out tonight it is a 50 cal (my mistake as I must be just a smidgen excited).
The only question I have now is cleaning between shots, how and how often? Between every couple of shots or everyone? I know I am a newbe but I hate asking questions that may sound stupid. All though I always say the only stupid one is the one you did not ask. thanks T7 Eric |
RE: TC Hawkens?
Amount of swabbing depends on your powder choice & bullet choice. 777 powder needs frequent.... using something like a roundball with a lubed patch needs less.
