Do you need a gun buyers permit to buy a muzzle loader? If i called cabelas to order a gun what all are they going to ask for as far as information about me?

regulations may vary from state to state but for the most part you do not need permits to purchase a muzzleloader. They can even be mailed right to your door "most the time."

I went on the net, picked one, typed in my address and credit info and bingo! A week later the brown truck bearing gifts brings me a present. Nothing more to it.

It depends on your state, in IL we have to get a copy of our FOID card (Firearm Owners ID) to Cabela's. Call them and they will tell you...

Not sure where you are from but you can get all gun law info from your state at www.nraila.org/ at the top there is a tab that says gun laws. i had the same questions about NJ and this was pretty helpful. good luck
