RE: CVA Kodiak

I checked one out at "Wallyworld" the other day; The trigger was pretty nice as much as I could tell without dropping the hammer on a dry chamber. I dropped it on my thumb (ouch). The falling block (tilting block) or whatever works pretty much like my Omega. I noticed you could pinch your finger between the trigger guard and the slot in the stock forward of the guard when the block is dropped. I would trim the sharp section of the stock to eliminate blood on the stock. The Omega also can cause hurt when dropped if you don't keep your hands in the proper place which you will find after hurting yourself once. I bought a Pursuit LT for my brother-in-law to use this year and if I had seen the Kodiak at that time I would have bought it instead. Looks pretty nice overall for the price.

I think the Kodiak is a Winchester Apex without all the bells & whistles. Why did you part with all those good shootin' CVAs Roger?
