What is a good starting load for this cal? What size should I cut my patches?

For patches I don't precut them , I use lubed ticking strips ,push the ball and lubed strip flush with muzzel and cut with knife just like they did 250+ years ago . I tryed precut patches and found with my big hands that 1/3 of the time the patch ended up off to one side.
For a plinking load RB I shoot 10 gr 3 f, some guns have a ingnession chamber that this load will not fill so check your gun before using ,there must be no air between powder and ball !
FOR TREE RATS RB I shoot about 20 gr 3f, I made a measure out of a rifle case and never checked exactly what it held.
For chucks I shoot a maxi with 30 gr 3f
