Use BC Sheath as deodorant?
A lighter topic here.
I bought a can of Birchwood Casey Sheath to use on and in my ML. Last night I sprayed a little in my hand to see how it compared to the smell of WD-40, which my wife hates the smell of. Anyway, I love the smell of Sheath and I think I may use it as deodorant from now on. Then, all day long I will be reminded of shooting my ML and hunting and such, even though I have no problem remembering that stuff to begin with. Do I need counseling? |
RE: Use BC Sheath as deodorant?
Nevr used it, only used what comes with my gun kits and WD-40. My wife hates it when I clean the guns in the winter times since we have propane heaters and when the gas mixed with the solvents, the smell is pretty bad, but I love it. Where did you get the Birchwood Casey Sheath?
I was hopping that someone would come out with an oil that smells like apples, or even pine scented oil. T |

Where did you get the Birchwood Casey Sheath? Comes in a spray can like wd-40. Smells SOOOOOO much better.. |
RE: Use BC Sheath as deodorant?
Thanks Greg, I have a Dicks and a Gander Mountain within a few minutes of each other in Scranton. I tend to visit Gander Mountian more than Dicks, why, not sure but I like the mounts on display at Gander better and I like the setup.
Maybe I will get a chance to go there this weekend, in the rain. We are supposed to get hit with Bonnie on Friday and Charley on Saturday. Tom |

Yes livbucks it sure does smell better then WD-40. I use Birchwood Casey Sheath all the time. My gun room is also part of the office/computer room so I can sit in here and work and look at all the pretty guns that smell so good.
The spray aerosol can of it (Profesional Size) seems to last a long time. The stuff really works. Triple Se7en turned me on to this line of products and it was again, another excellent recommendation on his part. Also Sheath comes in a non-aerosol smaller can which make a great over the road travel packer...:D. For trips to the range I mean. Yes, you might have a problem... but a good one. By the way I buy mine at Wal Mart. I talked to the head of the sporting goods there about the stuff one afternoon and they actually started stocking the Sheath and Bore Scrubber after that....:D |

I love the smell of the stuff- even better than the smell of Hoppes #9.
I'd rather use it than Bore Butter for protecting the bore during storage- Bore Butter is another powerful smell that reminds me of he smell of wintergreen snuff that I had a difficult time quitting from a few years ago.:( |
