i have the tc omega 50 cal, i was wondering what is the best way to group at 150 and 200 yards ? i shoot the tc shockwave 240g and 100 grain 777 and group a 3 inch group at 100 yards but i tried 200 and cant find the paper, i shoot the bushnell 1.5 x 4.5 sportview ,,,,,,,,,,,was wondering how you do at far distance and what setup i need to shoot that far ,,also what scope would be more effective for that distance and still be able to shoot clear at 50 yards ?? thanks in advance

Dr Kill. In my Opinion, a 4 1/2 Top End Power Scope, from any Manufacturer, is a Lot like &^%%$#@ into the Wind for 200 Yard TARGETS, (Hunting different Story) It can, and has been done, but at the Cost of a Lot of Range and Firearm Time. One Gent I know, can Shoot 4" Groups all day Long, with Open Sights, out of a Gonic at 200 yds, But what Time and Money he spends in the Range, would Pret Near Pay my Weekly Bills. Why do you need to Shoot 200 Yards, Just Asking. Most ML Shots are well within 65 Yards ( East Coast) If you want to Play the Long Range Game, Ide look into more Magnifaction, or mabey my Old Failing Eyes are prompting me to respond this way
Dont Place the Crosshairs, Disect the Crosshairs, Hard to do, with a Low Power Scope. Good Hunting.
My Scope Suggestion, A 3-9 Power In Sightron Or Bushnell 3200, or 4200 Series.

Ya' gotta' try 150 before 200. You also must try loose powder .... preferably 777 FFF. I use 105 777 FFF loose & I'm 8-9" low at 200 using a 250 grainer. If your 100 grains is two pellets, you need to add a 30 grain pellet because 777 pellet powder is weaker than 777 loose. Hodgdon did this purposely to match Pyrodex pellets in velocity/energy for safety reasons. So again, if you're using two pellets 777, I only need roughly 85 grains loose FFF to match you PLUS my 105 equals 125 grains pellet powder.... pretty darn close to two 50s and one 30 grain pellet.

na hiddin hunter i would never shoot at any game at 200 yards with my ml, i was just screwing around at the raing , the add says acurate to 200 yards so i was testing ,,,,,, however i have a knight wolverine and i shoot 100 grain parodox pellets and i keep it in a 9 inch circle at 200, the only upgrade i have done was get a 209 kit for the gun, the dealers said get the omega you dont know what your missing lol if ya ask me the knight is a much better gun, exept for the cleaning
oh yeah i killed 4 last year on opening day with the omega and all the shots were less then 60 yards

I have never met a T/C Omega 50-cal that did as lousy as your Knight did at 200 yards (9" circle). You said you never hit paper at 200 with the Omega.. right??
Then it is possible your shots with the Omega were in a much tighter group just below the paper.... right?? It's also possible that T/C provided you with the wrong front sight on your Omega... causing you to aim low. They've done it in the past to many new Omega buyers. All it takes is an accuracy-complaining phone call to T/C & they will ship you the lower sight for free.
Also.... what bullet/bullet grain are you using in the Omega? How can you say one is better than the other when all you've tried is 100 grains?... geez! With your Knight, Hornady, Barnes & Knight packaged bullets work best. With the Omega, T/C packaged bullets work best with the optimum grain size for the 50-caliber being either 240 or 250 grains.

ok now, what ya talking about ? i said my night hit the 9 inch circle at 200 yards i did not say the group was 9 inches the group of 4 shots were in a 4 inch circle about 3 iches down from the center of the bull. now if im aiming at the same size circle at 200 yards and dont hit the paper with the omega how is that better then the knight , i dont care if they cut holes just low of the bullseye if they dont hit the paper what good is it. the knight and omega hold 3 inch groups at 100 yards im just saying i use a scope on both guns and i do no adjustments and the knight outshoots the omega PLAIN AND SIMPLE ..
