Working with a new rifle
 

All this talk of flintlocks had me get the itch so I went and bought a .50 caliber Thompson Center Hawkins. Now I get to play with all the powder and stuff. What is your favorite flints? Black English seems to be the preferred one from those I have asked. Thompson Center recommends the Agates but then they sell them too....

This will be a real learning experience for me. I have several cap locks, and four inlines so this will be a whole new experience for me.... Be prepared for lots of questions....:D
