has anyone tried this gun? I heard it breaks open like the tc omega?

For 50-$75 more, buy the real thing... not the imitation! The Omega has been the most preferred inline ML & the most customer-satisfied ML on 16 ml/bp forums I visit. You won't be sorry you bought one.. especially in 50 caliber. Need help finding one cheap... let us know.

Couldn't agree more Triple 7 ...Apex is made by Winchester muzzleloading who is owned by BPI who also owns CVA. The rifles are made in Spain and first off arent' stainless steel but nickle plated and the quality of the steel is not as good as the steel used in the Omega. TC customer service is excellent. The dealers I frequent that have blackpowder guns can't keep Omegas and Encores in stock .

i have a buddy who owns an apex, and it is a great shooter.

that being said, what was mentioned above is good advice.
i own an omega, and there is no comparison in quality.
omega wins hands down.
