Absolutely, I don't understand why CVA and traditions get such a bad rap. I know a few CVA shooters that outshoot guys at the range with custom made 500 dollar flinters.

Thanks to everyone for the great suggestions and things to look at. I will definately check out DNR and see how thier prices are. Some of the Lyman guns look to be only around $220 up front. I don't need stainless, but I would like to upgrade it with a nice peep sight.

Any sighting systems allow both fiber optic and peep sights on the same gun used at the same time?

Pa. does not presently allow peep sights during flintlock season--open iron sights only.
Of course, with all of the new rules, they might allow them in future.
