Do I need a scope cover to protect it .......
from the primer when the gun is fired? I've seen these in the catalogs and wondered if one would be needed. I have a new T/C Black Diamond and am putting a Leupold VXII scope on it and don't want to get the scopes finish marred up over the breech area. Is this something I need to be concerned about or only if the gun was subjected to a lot of use?

Thanks for the heads-up, Underclocked! T/C has a black leather one that attaches w/ velcro.......guess I'll be getting one. Don't wanna mess up that purty finish on my Leupold!

I just use a piece of leather and tape it on with electrical tape only when using at the range. My buddy uses a piece of cloth. In the field I never worry about it as the few shots will not harm the scopes finish and easily are removed...been doing it for a number of years and can't see any marks on my scopes. But yes they work and it you want to buy one go right ahead.
